Lorraine Jabouin | Program Manager
Lorraine joined Compass in 2020 as a Program Assistant, in which she supported Compass’ Strategy team to carry out several key initiatives. In 2021 she was promoted to Program Manager, responsible for overseeing relationships with our housing partners. Prior to Compass, Lorraine worked in a variety of non-profit roles, at organizations that focused on legal services, adolescent educational achievement, cultural heritage conservation, and social stability for disenfranchised populations.
Lorraine received her B.A. in Sociology and Political Science from Vassar College. Her academic thesis, titled "Worlds In-Between: Afro-Caribbean Immigrants and Black Ethnic Conflict in the US," looked at the ethnic, national, and racial identity formations of second-generation Black immigrants from the Caribbean and the social discord among Black ethnic groups in the U.S. She is currently working toward proficiency in French and Haitian Creole.
