Ana Peña Estrella | Coaching Manager
In her role as a Coaching Manager, Ana works one-on-one with Compass clients and oversees a team of financial coaches in Boston. Prior to coming to Compass, Ana worked in the legal field for seven years, most recently at Casa Myrna, a domestic violence agency, as a paralegal. Ana started at Casa Myrna as a case manager/advocate in a residential shelter. In that role, she helped women and their children who were fleeing from their homes and hiding from their abusers. Ana’s role was to offer support, connect clients to resources, and provide tools that the clients needed to be able to provide for themselves and their children. After serving in that role for several months, Ana moved onto a paralegal role within Casa Myrna’s legal department and continued to work with DV survivors who were dealing with legal issues related to family law and obtaining restraining orders.
Prior to working in the legal field, Ana worked for Robert Half International as an accounting clerk for five years. She graduated from Suffolk University in 2011 with a BA in Paralegal Studies and a minor in General Business. She also holds an Associate’s Degree in Accounting from Roxbury Community College (RCC). Ana is certified as a tax preparer and has volunteered as a tax preparer at the RCC VITA site.
Ana is fluent in Spanish, and able to understand some Portuguese. Her goal is to learn to speak Portuguese fluently. She is passionate about working with her community and looks forward to continuing to be a part of the work Compass does.
