Compass proudly welcomes Precillia Redmond to the organization’s Board of Directors. Precillia is the Founder and Principal of Maeve Consulting, LLC – a consulting organization focused on delivering targeted people and culture solutions to non-profit organizations, start-up and early stage companies, as well as established enterprises. Prior to striking out on her own, Precillia worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance as the Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness (OE), and Strategy & Planning for the HR function (Talent & Enterprise Services) – a 1,400 employee organization – serving over 50,000 employees, globally. Precillia built out the OE function and led the PMO that managed enterprise wide strategic programs including Leadership Effectiveness, developing organization-wide Change Management capability, and implementing a new Management System leveraging lean practices and principles.
“Compass’ mission – to support families with low incomes to build assets, achieve their financial goals, and become financially secure – hits home for me on so many levels,” said Precillia. “When I was in fourth grade, my family lost our house to a fire. Our family lacked the assets and financial security to quickly recover from this devastating experience. I also feel a very strong connection to many of Compass’ clients, who share my father’s experience as an immigrant to this country. When my father immigrated to the United States from Haiti, all he ever wanted was for his children to have a better life.”
“Precillia is joining the Board at an important moment for Compass, as we pursue significant growth in our staff and programs in the next two years,” commented Sherry Riva, Compass’ Founder and CEO. “Her personal connection to our mission and expertise in organizational effectiveness, human resources, and change management will be key to our ability to manage this growth effectively. We are so grateful that she has agreed to step into this role.”
Precillia joins Compass’ six other current Board members: Board Chair Scott Carmel, of Southside Capital; Maureen Fitzgerald, a retired institutional asset management professional; Meaghan McCarthy, of Housing Partnership Network; Asha Mehta, of Acadian Asset Management; Omar Woodard, of the GreenLight Fund – Philadelphia; and Sherry Riva. As a nonprofit Board with a majority of members who are women, Compass maintains designation as a women-operated non-profit organization.
